Blender: Smoke, Particles and Metal
We were asked to make an intro for a coming videogame, called: The Astronaut.
At first we wanted to make it in 3ds Max, then realized Blender has grown up to be more flexible in some way than 3ds Max, so we decided to use Blender for the creation of the video.
We modeled and textured everything in 2.68 then used the smoke simulator and some particles.
The main challenge was to set up the lights properly and to have the right settings for the motion blur and depth of field.
We're working on the final touches so video is coming soon.
For the time being, here are two screenshots.
